Stepping into realms of immense weight,
A role of grandeur, a towering state.
Upon shoulders, a mantle heavy to bear,
Yet with resolve, I embrace the dare.
It is with great honour and humility that I accept this profound responsibility of assuming the role of the 13th Chairperson of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, Singapore Chapter. As I step into this esteemed position, I am keenly aware of the weight of expectations and the magnitude of the challenges that lie ahead. Yet, I am filled with an unwavering sense of determination and excitement to embark on this journey together with each and every one of you.
This position is not merely a title; it is about shouldering the responsibility to lead, to inspire, and to most importantly serve our chapter towards greater heights. Together, we possess the ingenuity and resilience to overcome any obstacle and to turn our vision into reality.
As we embark on this new chapter, let us embrace change as an opportunity for growth, as a stepping stone to success, and let us embrace unity as the cornerstone of our strength.
ICAI Singapore Chapter has completed 15 glorious years and during these 15 years it has achieved a position of prominence. We boast of Outstanding Events, both in terms of quality of execution and speakers’ set.
We have a Vibrant membership base with us now achieving the Category 1 status and Stakeholders’ Management has become top-notch. But, as the saying goes: Embrace change as the pathway to higher success; for in its winds lie the seeds of innovation, growth, and the relentless pursuit of excellence. So here I am unveiling our vision for the Chapter:
This Vision is based on 3 important pillars: The 3 Es – ENGAGE, EMPOWER & ENABLE
ENGAGE: Our members are filled with Wisdom and Knowledge and all the initiatives under this vertical will be with the aim to ensure that we start making our presence felt, in whatever small way, in local policy making landscape.
EMPOWER: The heart and soul of the Chapter are its Members. All the activities under this initiative will be to ensure we relook at the needs of our Members in more deeper, impactful and personal manner and from their lens as what they need.
ENABLE: This is about making World a canvas for our Members to paint their growth story. ICAI has one of the largest network of Members across the world. All the activities under this initiative will be to ensure that our Members get access to that network.
To accomplish this Vision for ICAI 2.0, I am supported by the new Office Bearers for 2024-25:

Somnath Adak each one of whom brings their own unique skill sets and common vision and passion to serve the Members and the Institute.
We are privileged to have the able guidance and support from the Leadership of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and we take inspiration from the work of our President CA. Ranjeet Kumar Agarwal jee and Vice President CA. Charanjot Singh Nanda jee.
In summary, together, we are geared to write the next chapter in our chapter’s legacy. With unity of purpose and unwavering dedication, there is no limit to what we can achieve. And we are sure, together we can, together we will achieve the same.
With bowed hand and folded hands, thank you for entrusting me with this honor. Let us embark on this journey together, bound by a shared vision, and propelled by the power of our collective resolve. Together, lets shape a future that is brighter, bolder, and more prosperous for all.
