Event Synopsis - Investing over the past year has come with its challenges and uncertainties due to inflation, monetary tightening, slowing growth, international conflict and an intensified US-China tech rivalry. While 2023 will still have its share of challenges, we also see it as a year of change and opportunity. In the US, we expect a mild recession but as inflation subsides, we see the US Federal Reserve pivoting from interest rate hikes to cuts and markets shifting focus to 2024 recovery, unlocking more potential opportunities for investors. Speaker - Rahul Shegokar (Portfolio Counselor, Citibank International Personal Bank)

Mr Shegokar is a Portfolio Counselor with Citibank Singapore Limited. Rahul has been with Citibank since 2010 and has a total of 14 years work experience in the wealth management industry. Rahul started his Citibank journey as Portfolio Counselor with Citibank India reviewing & rebalancing client’s portfolio in line with their investment objectives and later transitioned as product manager for structured products & fixed income primarily designing Indian Rupee denominated derivative products linked to National Stock Exchange of India (NIFTY Index).

Speaker -  Chye Hong (Wealth Management team, Citibank Singapore Limited)

Chye Hong is an active member in the Wealth Management team in Citibank Singapore Limited. She has been with Citibank since 2018 and has a total of 19 years work experience in the wealth management industry. Chye Hong started in the insurance industry in 2003, focusing in client servicing, business development and insurance sales where she has achieved the Million Dollar Round Table accreditation. She was with Jardine Lloyd Thompson Pte Ltd (JLT), a High Net Worth insurance brokerage firm to facilitate insurance sales for clients of various Private Banks prior joining Citi IPB.
