Diwali Gala Dinner 2022

The Singapore Chapter of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI SG) hosted a Deepavali Gala event on 5 Nov 2022. The event was held at Jen Singapore Tanglin by Shangri-La Group. The theme of the event was festive, and it was attended by over two hundred people.

It was an exclusive and engaging evening for ICAI Singapore Chapter members and families, which started with scintillating performances from Singapore Indian Fine Arts Society (SIFAS) including their piece de resistance Kadambam (a musical soiree that took the audience into a happy trance) and culturally enriching Kathak Dance. SIFAS is a pioneer institute of classical Indian music, dance and arts in Singapore. The audience witnessed the extravaganza performances from SIFAS Gurus & Artists, performances by ICAI SG members & their family members, Magic Show & Lucky Draws.

The emcees gave a zealous welcome to the members and the celebrations began with the lamp lighting ceremony, where ICAI SG Chairman Ramky Subramanian, Patron P S Somashekharan and all past presidents of ICAI SG joined together to light the lamp.

Ramky addressed the guests and thanked SIFAS for their enthralling performances. Ramky together with ICAI SG Vice Chairman Somnath Adak announced the launch of ICAI SG’s new website and thanked all the sponsors of the event (TIW Capital Group, HDFC Singapore, Joyalukkas, Reminiscent Candles & Shangri-La Circle). This was followed by a Magic show for the kids and especially curated Indian festive dinner by Chef James from Jen Singapore Tanglin. The evening continued with members & their families' performances which were entertaining, vivacious, energetic, full of different flavours ranging from classical to hip hop to contemporary dances. The performances varied from Ganesh Vandana to in-house comic talents, dance performances and soul soothing singing performances.

The Gala event re-emphasised the feelings of fraternalism, comradeship, and unity as One Big Family of ICAI SG.
